Alessi, - Alessi Barware 

I think that these Babyboops along with rest of the new Alessi releases of Autumn 2000, are the product of a concerted effort for Alessi, (perhaps triggered by a new millenium) to re-affirm their previous traditions and functions with a new understated simplicity of minimalist architectural designs.

By applying these new directives to the mainstay of their tableware product base, serving dishes, trays and platters, jugs and bar accessories - areas that the company has perhaps neglected for a while - too preoccupied with cheery plastic giftware - the results are a delicious mix of classic and contemporary: I myself, am glad to see the fresh new emphasis on craftsmanship and long-lived functionality combined with the innovative designs - principles that have made Alessi the Pioneers of their Industry!
