Alessi Max le Chinois Colander - A classic piece of Philippe Starck design.

Commissioned by Alessi to design a colander - Phillippe Starck came up with this very large and quite decorative stainless steel pierced colander with brass feet.

It comes supplied with a plastic inner that means you can use this object for variety of uses. I actually use mine as a flower vase, and I have seen others use theirs as a fruit bowl and plant pot! Then again you could use it for nothing and just admire its beauty - not everything needs a use - and its far more stylish than an ornament or china figurine!
