KOZ - Defne Koz

Defne Koz was born, and followed her studies, in Ankara (Turkey), and moved to Milan in 1989 where she obtained a Master in Industrial Design at the Domus Academy.From 1992 she has undertaken independent professional activities and has collaborated with various companies in Italy, involving both interior planning and industrial design. Recently she has planned interiors of private housing, and Aprido and David People shops, and office furniture for Alparda, in Turkey. In Italy she has completed lamps for Foscarini, containers for Cappellini, furniture for Steel, and objects for RSVP. Her projects have been exhibited in several shows in Milan, Verona and Istanbul. Between 1991 and 1992 she collaborated as a designer at Sottsass Associati

Circus Wall Light Fitting / Circus Ceiling Lights - Foscarini
The Circus Wall & Ceiling Light fittings designed by Defne Koz for Foscarini, come in two sizes and can be used as either wall or ceiling fittings.
The shades sit about 3 cm away from the wall and cast light out in a halo, almost giving an effect of hovering above the wall.
The Glass shade is white lined and coloured on the outside, and a central Button feature in nickel plated metal is a finishing touch

Available in two sizes and a choice of 2 colours: Polished White, and Polished Ivory.

Beautifully manufactured in polished stainless steel by Alessi in Italy - sculptural & useful - deceptively deep bowl for fruit or bread with your starter - then upturn the bowl to create a cake stand for dessert!!!
