With pieces ranging from wrist watches to espresso coffee makers, the common element to Rossi’s designs has always been to anticipate his customer’s wishes. With many items epitomising the late 80’s, Rossi who sadly died in a boating accident will be remembered with fondness as one of the great masters.

Aldo Rossi an Architect by profession began his collaboration with Alessi back in 1980, with the Classic Eighties Design icon La Conica Espresso Coffee Maker. His geometric style is instantly recognisable through all of his subsequent designs

La Cupola - Alessi, * coffee club
Alessi La Cupola Espresso Coffee Maker was designed by Aldo Rossi in 1985. This espresso maker is made of cast aluminium with a polyamide handle. The boiler has a thick flanged aluminium base to guarantee even heat distribution and shield the body from the flame or heat source.
