The circle is the archetype of the sun and therefore of light: it is also the most suitable shape to give light 360° diffusion. Ellepi is a large airy disk, that spreads its light both through its surface and also through reflection from the wall. The shades sit about 6.5 cm away from the wall / ceiling and cast light out in a halo, almost giving an effect of hovering above the wall.
