GRAVES - Michael GravesGRAVES - Michael Graves
A self-confessed follower of ‘American style', Graves rationale is more concerned with practical style than strict adherence to theoretical practice. Art Deco and pre-Columbian culture are also sources of inspiration that have left his audience enchanted by his designs.

Michael Graves was born in Indianapolis, USA. He received his architectural training at the University of Cincinnati and Harvard University. In 1960 he won the Rome Prize and went on to study at the American Academy in Rome, of which he is now a Trustee. Among his projects are the Portland Building in Cincinnati, the Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin Hotels. He is the winner of fifteen Progressive Architecture design awards, and many other international awards. He began designing objects for Alessi in 1984 - the most famous of which is the 'Bird Kettle' which spawned a whole Range of Kitchen accoutrements in the same style.

Konstantin Grcic was born in Munich, Germany in 1965.After training as a cabinet maker at Parnham College in England he studied design at the Royal College of Art in London from 1988-1990.Since setting up his own design practice Konstantin Grcic Industrial Design in Munich in 1991 he has developed furniture, products and lighting for some of Europe's leading design companies such as Agape, Classicon, Cappellini, Driade, Flos, Iittala, Magis and SCP.
In 1999 he won the competition to furnish a public square in London's Canary Wharf. Many of his products have received design awards, the Mayday lamp produced by Flos was selected into the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and won Grcic a prestigious Compasso D´Oro Award in 2001. We are in no doubt that more awards will follow...
Konstantin Grcic designed the brilliant Chair_One Range for Magis, which has spawned a family of stools and tables.

Marti Guixe trained in Barcelona and Milan as an interior and industrial designer.In 1994, while working as a design advisor in Seoul and living in Berlin, he started developing a new way of looking at product culture. Guixé started to exhibit his work in 1997.
He is now based in Barcelona and Berlin. Clients include Authentics, Camper, Cha-cha, Chupa-Chups, Desigual, Droog Design, Saporiti, Watx.

ZAHA HADID is an architect who consistently pushes the boundaries of architecture and urban design. Her work experiments with new spatial concepts intensifying existing urban landscapes in the pursuit of a visionary aesthetic that encompasses all fields of design, ranging from urban scale through to products, interiors and furniture.

He graduated in 1962 at the University of Arts of Tokyo. His Professional career begins in Japan but soon he sets for Italy where, from 1963, he works for principal Italian and foreign companies. such as Colombo and Fiam.Special attention is given to the observation of changes in perception of the quality of life, in order to satisfy new demands. Nothing is left to chance alone, everything that is involved in the realisation of the product, from technological innovation to production and distribution, is a field of continuous confrontations.
During over 20 years of activity he has received numerous prizes, such as Compasso d'Oro, Triennale, Macef, Smau, Design Plus. His work has been included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. For some years he has been invited by important design schools such as 'Domus Accademy' and 'Politecnico di Milano' to lead discussions and meetings.

HEATHERWICK - Thomas Heatherwick
Thomas Heatherwick founded Heatherwick Studio in 1994 to make unique design projects happen. Today his team of architects, designers and makers work from a combined studio and workshop in King's Cross on projects ranging from bridges and buildings to products and large scale works of public art.
